not enough time

Tue Oct 13, 2009, 1:45 PM
Ever just want to sit down and do nothing? I've been so busy lately I really need a day off. School, work, school, homework, school...

Got a few paintings done in class that I need to take photos of. Until then, thanks for looking.

Finally got around to recording some guitar

Updated with a new link...

Couple new songs on here too:

In case anyone's curious about my equipment, it's pretty simple. Fender Stratocaster, Digitech rp90 pedal, Line 6 Spider III amp. The drum track was created in Frooty Loops. Guitars were recorded and mixed in Audacity (a great FREE program).

Random Musings...

Just figured I'd update with some news.

Got accepted to ASU so I will be going there in the fall. I love the campus so that should be very fun. I hope gas doesn't go up, because the driving could get a little rough. I want to relocate closer to campus, but don't think that's possible right now unless I win the lottery.

I hurt my wrists really badly lifting weights, so I haven't been able to do much lately. Doing a bit more cardio, and still lifting but only going 2-3 days per week. I'm going to try and get back to the full 5 days next week since my wrists are doing a bit better now. I'm still getting in better shape so that's all that really matters I think :)

New guitar time is coming soon. I'm not sure what I will get. I really want a Les Paul but my budget might not cover that. May be able to find a good deal on one, that's one decent thing about the economy being in shambles. My other top choice would probably be a Satriani signature guitar from Ibanez, and that would cost significantly less than the LP.

That's about it for now, at least that's all I can remember right now. heh

2009

Figured I should update this now that we're in 2009. Man, the year just flew by

I'm taking an oil painting class again this semester, so I should have some new paintings soon. Same thing with ceramics. Got a lot of big pots on the shelf that need to get fired.

Aside from that the gym thing is going pretty good. I'm not losing weight anymore but just losing inches, since I'm lifting rather than doing cardio. Feeling a hell of a lot better. Bought some more glutamine and creatine today too.

Here's to another year of making art :)

Things

So there was a little art store nearby (I never actually knew it was there) that was closing. They had potter's wheels, half off. I bought one. $500 later, I'm making some stuff on the back porch. Hopefully when I get enough spare time I can make a good stock of items and get them up for sale on the internet.

Never been the person to drink, but since turning 21 I have developed a taste for rum and Coke (or better yet rum and root beer). One or two per week and that's enough for me. I don't want to overdo it. Plain alcohol I find disgusting!

Still working hard in addition to school. That's taking up the majority of my time, painting lots of small things.

Been hitting the gym pretty hard lately. I'm feeling a lot better already. Got to work more on benching, right now I'm only pressing 200. And drinking a Monster Energy right before my workout makes a huge difference! I could practically go forever (that's what she said).

Now I'm off to class, see you all later!
